The trial for an Indianapolis man accused in the death of his 6-week-old son is expected to start Tuesday.

Willie Wilson has pleaded not guilty. He's charged in connection with the death of his infant son, Delano.

In August 2014, Wilson told police that strangers abducted the baby. The baby's body was never found during a search, but authorities say there's evidence against Wilson. They allege Wilson killed the child and then lied to cover it up.

The trial is expected to last a week.

Prosecutors plan to call more than 30 witnesses. The defense doesn't have plans to call witnesses, but Wilson could testify in his own defense.
