As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowCourts in two more counties will make the switch to electronic filing this week, moving Indiana closer to the judiciary’s goal of statewide e-filing implementation by the end of the year.
The Vermillion Circuit Court will implement voluntary e-filing on Wednesday, followed by the Lawrence circuit and superior courts on Friday. Those courts will then move to mandatory e-filing on June 4. Meanwhile, the Brown Circuit Court switched to mandatory e-filing today, and the Beech Grove City Court will follow suit on Tuesday.
So far, courts in 89 Indiana cities and counties have made voluntary e-filing available, while 78 have implemented mandatory e-filing. The Indiana Supreme Court has set a goal of statewide e-filing use by the end of 2018.
