Courts in two more counties will make the switch to electronic filing this week, moving Indiana closer to the judiciary’s goal of statewide e-filing implementation by the end of the year.

The Vermillion Circuit Court will implement voluntary e-filing on Wednesday, followed by the Lawrence circuit and superior courts on Friday. Those courts will then move to mandatory e-filing on June 4. Meanwhile, the Brown Circuit Court switched to mandatory e-filing today, and the Beech Grove City Court will follow suit on Tuesday.

So far, courts in 89 Indiana cities and counties have made voluntary e-filing available, while 78 have implemented mandatory e-filing. The Indiana Supreme Court has set a goal of statewide e-filing use by the end of 2018.

The full e-filing implementation schedule is available here.
