Subscribe NowMarion County voters will be able to vote in one of six satellite voting locations in the 2018 general election, officials announced Wednesday in response to a federal court order. The locations in Indianapolis are:
• Washington Township Government Center, 5302 N. Keystone Ave., Suite E;
• Lawrence Education & Community Center, 6501 Sunnyside Road;
• Perry Township Government Center, 4925 Shelby St., #200;
• Franklin Township Annex Learning Center, 6019 S. Franklin Road;
• Eugene & Marilyn Glick Technology Center, 2620 N Meridian St., and;
• International Marketplace Coalition, 3685 Commercial Drive.
The satellite voting locations will be open Oct. 26-Nov. 4 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and from 10 a.m-5 p.m. weekends.
The Marion County Election Board adopted a resolution establishing the early-voting sites and said it will determine early-voting hours at the City-County Building later.
Senior Judge Sarah Evans Barker in April issued an injunction sought by Common Cause and the NAACP, ordering Marion County to establish at least two early satellite voting precincts. A consent decree entered earlier this month required the county to establish at least five early-voting locations.
