As courts nationwide are celebrating the anniversary of the ratification of the Constitution’s first 10 Amendments during the month of December, families are invited to join in during a Wednesday evening event.

On Wednesday, the United States Courts of Appeals and U.S. District Courts for the Seventh and Eighth Circuits will host a one-hour virtual Bill of Rights Family Event live via Zoom at 6 p.m. Central Time, 7 p.m. Eastern.

The program, “The Bill of Rights and You: 2020 Celebration,” will feature judges and attorneys from the 7th and 8th circuit courts of appeals exploring the Bill of Rights and how it affects families and individuals. The link to join the Zoom call can be found here. Advance registration is not required.

The event is geared toward families with children in grades K-12, but all are welcome to attend. There will be a chance to earn prizes during the program by participating in a puzzle clue game whose instructions can be found here.

Winners from the Bill of Rights student contest, which took place in October, also will be announced during the live program.
