Indiana Lawyer managing editor Olivia Covington was awarded the Indiana Judges Association’s Media Award for her coverage of Indiana’s problem-solving courts.

The award was presented at the IJA’s annual meeting Thursday in French Lick. Covington was honored for her story on Indiana’s problem-solving courts, which marked the establishment of the 100th such forum in the state while explaining their roles in addressing an array of problems in local communities from drug abuse to veterans issues to families in crisis.

Covington’s honor is the second time in three years that Indiana Lawyer has been recognized for the honor. Senior reporter Marilyn Odendahl also was presented the IJA Media Award in 2017 for her coverage of criminal record expungements in Indiana.
