Indiana reports 19 more COVID-19 deaths, 674 new cases

The Indiana State Department of Health on Thursday reported 674 new COVID-19 cases, marking the 20th straight day with fewer than 1,000 cases.

The department reported 19 new deaths from COVID-19, raising the cumulative death tally to 13,167.

Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 decreased from 810 on Tuesday to 759 on Wednesday. They are down from 1,019 on May 4. The all-time high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.

The health department reported the testing of 4,226 new individuals.

The state said 2.47 million Hoosiers have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. More than 2.62 million had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination.
