Since 2017, this annual event has hosted 22 speakers from local organizations ranging from Allison Transmission to Zimmer Biomet. This interactive panel offers an ideal platform to expand one’s understanding of intellectual property matters and exchange ideas with private practice professionals, corporate counsel,and intellectual property counsel while earning 1.0 General CLE credit.

The 2023 IP Roundtable, sponsored by Corsearch, features three prominent figures in the field of intellectual property. Elizabeth Dingess-Hammond, representing the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, will bring her wealth of patent expertise and experience to the discussion. James Daly from Corteva Agriscience will contribute his unique perspectives to the conversation having worked as a patent prosecutor, then in IP licensing and now in commercial transactions. Lindsey Szymczak from the B2B SaaS company Seismic Software Inc. will share her invaluable insights on the roles trademark and copyright law play in developing and selling sales enablement software.

Experienced moderators Joel Tragesser, trademark, intellectual property and Indianapolis office managing partner at Quarles & Brady LLP, and Elizabeth Vincent, counsel at Taylor English Duma LLP, will lead the discussion and accept questions from participants. The event aims to provide attendees with a deeper understanding of recent caselaw developments, effective IP management strategies and successful IP licensing approaches. Specific topics may include workflow and strategy lessons, tips for interactions with business executives and outside counsel, and recent company or industry innovations (digital assets, AI, metaverse and social media).

The 2023 IP Roundtable is open to legal practitioners from various backgrounds. IndyBar members can attend the event for $50 while student members enjoy a reduced rate of $10.
