The Indiana Judicial Conference is seeking feedback on proposed changes to rules governing specialty courts.

The directors of the Judicial Conference are accepting public comments until March 4 on proposed amendments to the state’s problem-solving court rules and Court Alcohol and Drug Program rules. The amendments to the former would “incorporate national best practice standards for Family Recovery Courts,” while amendments to the latter would change staff requirements for the court and substance abuse management specialist credential.

Other proposed changes to the family recovery court rules include updates to staff training requirements and removing the requirement that a case file contain the treatment plan.

The full text of the proposed amendments is available here.

Members of the bench, bar and public who wish to comment on the proposed rule amendments may do so through noon on Friday, March 4. Comments should be emailed to Diane Mains at [email protected].
