Memorial services for the late Marion Superior Judge Shatrese Flowers have been scheduled for Tuesday.

Preceding the celebration of life will be an Ivy Beyond the Wall ceremony hosted by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. “Ivy Beyond the Wall” is a term the sorority uses in reference to members who have died.

Flowers and condolences can be sent via Stuart Mortuary Inc.

Flowers had been serving as judge of Marion Superior Court 28, a position she had held since she was elected in 2014.

The Marion County Judicial Selection Committee has opened applications to fill the vacancy on the court created by her death.
