Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP continues to grow, with the firm announcing Monday that it will merge with Morris, Manning & Martin in December.

The merger brings more than 100 additional lawyers to the Taft team, which will soon have more than 1,200 lawyers in 25 offices across the country, according to a news release.

Morris Manning is a nationally recognized Am Law 200 firm with offices in Atlanta and Washington D.C. The firm’s nearly 50-year legacy boasts experience in real estate, litigation, and corporate law.

The firm was named a 2023 Regional Powerhouse by Law360 and the best commercial real estate law firm in Atlanta by The American Lawyer/The Daily Report.

A Morris Manning firm leader said they look forward to working hand-in-hand with the Taft team.

“From our very first conversation, it was clear that Taft was the right match for our firm. We immediately connected on the things that matter the most — culture, core values, client service, and strategic vision,” said Simon Malko, Managing Partner of Morris Manning, in a news release. “This merger and Taft’s comprehensive national platform create new opportunities to serve our clients with broad service offerings throughout the United States. We are excited and confident that the Taft combination will be a tremendous move for our future.”

Taft is equally enthusiastic to bring the firm’s talent into the fold.

“We are excited to welcome this talented group of lawyers to Taft, that represent the bedrock of Morris Manning & Martin and its reputation as one of the top firms in Atlanta,” said Taft Firmwide Chairman and Managing Partner Robert Hicks. “They share our collaborative and client-driven approach, are outstanding lawyers and people, and are deeply embedded in the Atlanta and Washington, D.C. legal and business communities. This strategic combination continues our successful tradition of merging with highly respected, established firms in new markets for Taft that bring exceptional lawyers interested in growing their firm and practices together with us.”

This merger is effective on Dec. 31, 2025.

It’s just one of the many mergers Taft has solidified in 2025.

In January, Taft expanded its presence into the Mountain West by combining with Sherman & Howard, Denver’s oldest and third-largest law firm. The merger expanded Taft’s impact into several western states, including Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada, and added 125 lawyers to the team.

In June, Taft also completed a merger with Mrachek Law, a litigation boutique in Florida with offices in Stuart and West Palm Beach. The merger added 18 lawyers to Taft’s team and marked the firm’s official expansion into the Southeast.

That same month, Taft also launched an office in Naples, bringing its private client practice further into the Sunshine State.

Taft ranks 79th among the nation’s largest 100 law firms based on gross revenue, according to the Am Law 100.

In the Indianapolis market, Taft has 172 attorneys, making it the second-largest law firm in the area, according to Indianapolis Business Journal research.

With the addition of Morris Manning, Taft will have projected combined revenues in excess of $1 billion.
