A second round of interviews will take place in early April. The JNC will then go into executive session before holding a public vote to select the three most qualified candidates.

Names of the final three nominees will then be submitted to Gov. Eric Holcomb, who will have 60 days to select Indiana’s next Supreme Court justice.

Holcomb has selected one other Supreme Court justice, Justice Christopher Goff,  who joined the bench in 2017 when now-Senior Judge Robert Rucker retired. He has also selected three judges for the Court of Appeals of Indiana: Molter in 2021, Judge Leanna Weissmann in 2020  and Judge Elizabeth Tavitas in 2018.

Redacted applications, writing samples, transcripts, and letters of recommendation are a matter of public record and can be found online for each candidate.
